Looking for signs she likes you? Join the club! Human beings are overwhelmingly complex that half the time it’s even difficult to decipher what we’re feeling, let alone our friend, partner, family member, or co-worker. We may think that we have all the answers, but truthfully, it takes quite a bit of research when it comes to human behavior to figure out how someone feels, what makes them tick, and why they are the way that they are.
Luckily, we’ve done the research for you! Here, you’ll learn about 10 signs she likes you so that you can be the luckiest guy alive (or possibly the saddest – in which case, we’re sorry in advance).
Non-Verbal Cues
Non-verbal body language plays a huge part in figuring out a person, their likes and dislikes. It has the ability to give clues into how someone, both men and women, are feeling.
- Eye Contact
When we see something we like, we want to look at it, correct? The same goes for a woman. So one of the signs she likes you is if she catches and maintains eye contact with you.
Not only that, but when she likes what she sees, the hormone oxytocin kicks in causing her pupils to dilate, so be sure to watch out for that.
- Touching
You may have seen in several rom-com’s that when a woman likes a man, her cheeks go rose-red, she plays with her hair, and touches his bicep. And that is actually true! When a girl lightly touches your arm, or perhaps helps you remove an eyelash off your cheek, it is quite a compelling sign that she likes you.
- Close Contact
Our body moves towards something or someone that we like. So when she leans slightly forward towards you when she talks or listens, it’s always a good sign. The closer she leans, the more of a compelling case you have in the mystery of whether she likes you or not.
- Mirroring
Mirroring is a very interesting concept which says that when someone likes you, they will copy your body movements. This is because, when you like a girl and you mimic the way in which she’s sat or the way she’s folding her arms, it sends a subconscious message to her that you like her. This in turn increases the chances of her liking you back.
One way to test this theory would be to mirror her body language but then after a few minutes, change positions and see whether she does the same.
- Obstacles
How a girl organizes her things when she is with you is another way to find out if she likes you or not. For example, if she has her handbag on her lap, creating a barrier between the two of you, she has not yet built up a trusting connection.
Another example would be, if you were at a restaurant drinking coffee together and she places her coffee cup in front of her, it too creates a barrier. If she places her cup to the side, allowing a barrier-free space between you, it could mean that she likes you.
- Her Friends
Girls tend to talk with their girlfriends about guys and the ones they like. So if you find yourself in the presence of her girlfriends, take notice of their body language too. Are they huddled together, whispering, giggling and/or looking over in your direction? That’s usually a tell-tale sign that she likes you.
Verbal Cues
Arguably just as important as non-verbal cues, the things that she says to you directly or via subtle hints is a great way to decipher if she likes you or not.
- Teasing
Just like kids do in pre-school, when a girl likes you they tend to tease you and to be more playful.
She may say something about your terrible sense of fashion, or that she thinks you’re a loser – in a joking way (if she says them in a serious way though, it’s probably a for sure sign that she does not like you).
- She Asks Questions
Generally, we all ask the same monotonous questions – “How are you? How was your day?”. But if she tends to dig deeper by asking you questions about yourself, your friends and family, your interests, as well as small-talk topics, than she may just have some desirable feelings for you.
- She Talks About You
When we like someone, we want to talk about them all the time. So if you find that she’s talking (positively) about you a lot to her friends, family, and/or co-workers, this is generally a good sign. Try to find out if she’s been saying a few favorable bits and pieces about you.
- She Connects with You
Has she added you on Facebook? Does she follow you on Instagram and “like” or comment on your photos? Do you find that she engages with you quite a lot via social media, text messages and phone calls? These are all possible signs she likes you, be it as a friend or more than a friend.
Having read all of these tips, do you think she’s the apple of your eye? Well, we’re totally rooting for you!
